    TheChillOut reform? Empty TheChillOut reform?

Post by Cold. Tue Jul 28, 2009 6:34 pm

    Calendar of events:
29th July - 6th August, work begins on theme and homepage
August 12 - 14th (wednesday- friday), the forum is tested for bugs.
What do you think? We could have a new theme, new homepage, basically a re opening, but keeping all the posts and users (active or not) and then maybe even change the target audiesnce of the forum (ie become more of a club penguin forum (example!))
We could change the logo, the layout etc, so that people want to come to a popular new forum.
We need your help on this, if we get the go ahead from BiteTheDust, we can make groups that work towards the new reformed version (eg. theme developers, homepage developers, advertising team, support team etc)
Please tell me what you think via msn, twitter, or even the forum duh XD

Note to kelly: We may need to stay open after august if we are going to get this right. If you dont want to do it, would it be possible for you to give robo chewits pass? or reset it?

If this is accepted then we will have a variety of roles for users to do as a part of the reform, and a basic template of a form is available here to read or edit here.

    Thank you for reading,

    -Cold.

    I gotcha.

Ok, I have a plan, work starts now. Then, on August 2nd, we close the forum for construction, and implicate all features (ie. copy and paste homepage code to html editor).
Then on the 12th, we finish. August 12 - 14th (wednesday- friday), the forum is tested for bugs. August 14th, the forum is re opened to the members and guests.

I think we should overhaul the entire modding/admining system and every person who was a part of the forum during project reform should have the opportunity to mod the new forum IF project is a success. Then we will have a good 10-20 person moderating/administrating system for the hopefully new 100-500 person forum.

I was aiming to do the following things before we re open:
    FOTW
    Make shop items co$t
Create a bigger area just for Club Penguin.
    Bring back user shops
Turn off posting points and use chickens alone.
    Restore the old posts.
Change the name? I was thinking like The Chillout Penguins? Or maybe The Penguin Chillout? The Chilling Penguins?

    --
We need to change the name back to cp, because it's the only viable target audience.

    Meaning of viable:
    5. practical, feasible, usable, adaptable.

    Meaning of target audience:
the intended group for which something is performed or marketed; the specific group to which advertising is directed

If this becomes a Club Penguin focused forum I guess I'll have to quit, cause I'm getting a little too old for Club Penguin.

    It should have a multi-focus,

    1 part CP
    1 part GFX
    1 part General Discussion

We need to if ie. the forum isn't finished by the 8th, and also, we need to make sure there is nothing wrong. We may close later to reduce the downtime.
