Well, I've been thinking about this for a bit..Perhaps we could change the ranks to where your rank rises at certain amounts of posts and once you reach a set amount you're able to get a custom rank.

Post any opinions and/or suggestions. I realize most of you probably will not like this and if you don't I'm sure it won't be made. I'd ask Kav and Scot about it as well, but I'm just wondering what you all think of it.

The custom ranks would have to be done manually because there's not an option to allow users to change their ranks.

Forgive this double post.

Something else we could do if ranks were changed is to have contests (like trivia) and the winner could get a custom rank. This would be good for anyone who didn't have enough posts to get one.

First of all,

You should do the ranks. For example:
0 - Noob
10 - Sophomore

Like that.

While
We also get customized ranks. Like:

Sophomore - Short Code: [SO]

Customized Rank:

Lovin' The Chillout

So the rank will be:

[SO] Lovin' The Chillout

You can also work it the other way around.

To make it a bit clearer, my idea was to change ranks to go up as you post.

at 0 posts you'd have a rank
at x amount you'd get a new one
etc.

Then, once you reach a certain amount of posts you'd be able to apply for a custom rank, meaning ask for a rank saying whatever you want. You'd also be able to win these from contests so it's good for those who don't have enough posts yet.
